There are a lot of things that I truly enjoy about St. John's, but if I were to narrow it down to a single thing, I'd have to say that it's the closeness, the sense of community within a large portion of the congregation. When I serve as an usher or a reader and I see familiar faces at the service I'm attending or I get that smile of recognition, or that handshake and greeting of peace, it makes me feel as if I'm a part of something good. My friends are hearing what I'm hearing, and they believe it as strongly I do. This is the Word at work.
